Donald Trump Cat

Awww who would be so so not nice to a cat and make them look like Donald Trump.  Booo, not nice at all.

Well I do have a picture of a cat that does sport the Donald Trump hair look.

Yes here it is the cat that looks like Donald Trump.  Hopefully the meow is nicer than Donald's voice and that he or she does not scratch people.

Sigh, oh well that's it for now hey, more Mixed Nuts is on the way.  Videos cool sites and of course pics like this one or something else, you get the idea.

Enjoy

The Bible

Did you know that the Bible has an amazing track record when it comes to it's reach?  Estimates out there indicate that 5 BILLION copies of the Bible have been put into the hands of people.

One of the most widely used internet sites is Bible Gateway.  Besides providing source materials for Christians like devotionals the site features the Bible in many different languages and versions.  To say that one could not read the Bible in your own language, well would be untrue.

But, just in case you are interested and want to see the complete list of Bibles the site has follow this link.  https://www.biblegateway.com/versions.

The One Minute List Blog

As a blogger myself I appreciate the hard work that goes into creating and maintaining a blog.  So when I find one that is interesting I like to read and share it with the world.

While searching for content for my post today I found the blog entitled One Minute List.  This blog has lists on it of interesting items.  In the current post dated May 31 there is a list of some interesting things.  Like Russia opening a Military Disney Land where guests can fire military grade weapons and use simulators, weird.  And how about this one.  Metallica became the first band to perform on all 7 continents after a concert at Carlini station in Antarctica in 2013.

Want to read more?  http://oneminlist.com and read on.  BTW I probably will be using this site a resource for future posts.

Enjoy and come back for more Mixed Nuts

Whoopee Cushion

Ah yes the creme de la creme of pranks, the setting up and deploying of the whoopee cushion. Thankfully I have never fallen prey to the prank. Frankly speaking it is silly and somewhat childish to pull the prank, then again I guess that is it's charm. The idea that one could make someone appear to fart out loud in a way as to cause a red face to appear I guess could be funny.

Interestingly the modern whoopee cushion has it's roots here in Canada, in Toronto to be exact.  The Toronto Star tells of the historical background to the famed cushion in an article dated May 8, 2008.

Wikipedia also has an article about the history of the whoopie cushion.  Another interesting fact about the cushion is that there is a record for the biggest one made.  The largest according to Guinness World Records is 19ft or 6.035M in diameter.  Wow wonder what that would sound like.

Enjoy the read and let me know if you have been the victim or the prankster behind the cushion of fartdom.

The Froggy Page

Frogs, yes I like frogs.  I think these animals are quite cool.  And so does someone else.  Back in 1994 a website dedicated to the amphibian was created and it made on to the Cool Site of the day page.

The page has not been updated since 2007, but I suspect that there is still a lot of stuff on it to amuse fans of the frog.

The link to the site is at http://www.frogsonice.com/froggy.  Hop on over and see whats croaking, groan I know, on this site.

Here fishy fishy

Hi, most people like fish, not the kind to eat, though those are nice too.  I am speaking of the kind that swim in big monster tanks.  I am on vacation this week and I suggested to my wife that we take in the Ripley's Aquarium in Toronto.

The aquarium has some to coolest fish around, including Sharks and Stingrays.  What is also interesting is the fact that the aquarium also does more than display fish.  A visitor to the aquarium can actually pet a stingray, learn how to photograph sea life and yes one can even sleep in a glass tunnel while sharks swim above.

The aquarium also has programs geared around education and yes they also let guests throw a birthday bash for adults and children alike.  Just an FYI the swimming with Stingrays, not this time.

If you are in the Toronto area look the aquarium up.

Pay It Forward Day 2016 April 28th

To pay it forward. What does that mean. In a simple phrase, it means to do something for someone without any expectation of reward. It stems from being the on the other end of an act of kindness. I have been both the receiver and the person paying it forward. It is one of the greatest gifts to get and to give.

The smallest act, like buying a stranger coffee, giving flowers to a woman on a bus, or giving a blanket to a person on the street are acts of kindness.  Have you had a complete stranger be kind to you.  I have, simple things like an offer to buy me food, I actually had that happen one night recently.

On April 28th it is Pay it Forward Day.  A day set aside to perform random acts of kindness.  To learn more about it visit http://payitforwardday.com.  I hope you will take t he opportunity to be kind everyday, but on this day it would be even more special to hear and see acts of kindness.

My challenge is for you to visit this page think of ideas and post them to facebook, lets see if we can really boost the level of kindness shown to our fellow human kind.  Then on April 28th go and do it PAY IT FORWARD.

the Royal 22nd Regiment

Known as the Van Doos.  It's officially not known by the Royal 22nd, but by it's French name Le Van Doos Le 22e Regiment.  It's an infantry unit and has five batalions.  The regiment is actually the biggest in the Canadian Army.

The definition of a batallion in Canada is a unit that has 100 to 200 members.  The 22e has five meaning that it has up to 1000 men and women who serve in 3 main force and 2 reserve primary units.  Typically the unit is commanded by a Lt Colonel.

Below are the two sites one English and one French, the French is the actual and official site of the regiment.  Plus I am including a link to Wikipedia that has info on the regiment.

By the way Canada has recently changed it's officer rank insignia. Gone is the old 3 thick stripes that the Lt Colonels wore in place is the new insignia.

The image to the left is the new rank insignia for this rank.

Notable Deaths Hollywood Style of 2015

Lets be honest, we all like to indulge in the ghoulish side.  People will gawk at crumpled cars as they pass an accident scene, we stare at fires as they take down homes and a crime seen is always interesting to peek at.

So before we begin looking at 2016 to see what will be interesting to us, here is a list of some of the notable deaths and a link to a gallery filled with celebs who are now dearly departed.

Donna Douglas, starred on Beverly Hillbillies.
Leonard Nimoy, Star Trek's Mr. Spock.
Percy Sledge, singer, remember When a Man Loves a Woman?
Omar Sharif, Director.
