The National Museum of Funeral History located in Houston TX houses a large collection of items related to funerals and the stories behind the artifacts. The idea here is not to be creepy, but to show how the funeral industry developed and how funeral traditions were created. Subjects covered include cremation, embalming and the development of the casket. I chuckled when I read the motto of the museum, here it is "Any day above ground is a good one." You have to admit that is witty.
